La Compañia Church

This temple began to be constructed in 1571, it is at a side of the main square and above the Amarucancha or palace of Huayna Capac. It is one of the best examples of the virreinal religious architecture. It has valuable paintings of La Escuela Cusqueña and sculptures of the time. In every side of the church there are two buildings, at one side is the beautiful chapel of Lourdes and in the other side the oratory of San Ignacio de Loyola. At the moment it is occupied by La Compañia de Jesus church, , the University hall and the Palace of Justice.
