Espinar
Created in the high watershed of the Apurímac river, by the 2542 Law of November 17, 1917. The name honors the memory of colonel Ladislao Espinar, hero of the Pacific War. The province was created in 1825 with the name of Yauri, but its name was changed by Espinar on 1917. Its capital is the Espinar village (3,915 meters above sea level). The province has an extension of 5,311.09 km ² and a population of 63,360 inhabitants (projection to year 2000) in its 8 districts: Espinar, Alto Pichigua, Condorama, Coporaque, Ocoruro, Pallpata, Pichigua and Suyckutambo.
It has places of interest like the churches of Coporaque and Yauri, It also has the Mullucachua fortress (Pichigua) and Kanamarca (Yauri).
